September 2016: This series is closed due to the amount of work I currently have. It might open in the future. Meanwhile, if you are interested in a specific codex let me know and I will take a look. Thanks.

Welcome to the ‘Codex of the month’ posts!

In October 2014 I started a new series of posts reviewing each one of the archive files of the codices gathered on the Littera Visigothica online catalogue of Visigothic script manuscripts [timeline version] or [Excel list version] that have been digitised.

Why only the ones for which we have digital surrogates? First, because that will allow me to show you the script while discussing it, and second because, without me seeing it, I am unable to verify any previous conclusions drawn about the manuscript. These posts will help me to update the catalogue with more reliable information.
